Founded fifty years ago, the Carriage Association of America is the oldest and largest international organization devoted to the preservation, restoration, study, and use of horse-drawn vehicles. The CAA has introduced thousands of people to the joys of collecting, driving, and learning more about these vehicles.
Our members — carriage collectors, horse owners, carriage-restoration shops, history buffs, libraries, museums — hail from across the United States and from forty other countries.
CAA members receive a subscription to the award-winning Carriage Journal magazine; the chance to attend CAA Learning Weekends, Education Series, Conferences, and Symposia; opportunities to travel to visit private carriage collections or to watch the Royal Windsor Horse Show or World Driving Championships; help with research questions; members-only savings opportunities; and much more.
Anyone is welcome to browse through the many offerings on the CAA website: an up-to-date calendar of events, classified ads, a list of carriage museums, the Directory of Services & Suppliers (nearly 600 listings in 104 categories), an online tour of twenty-nine types of carriages, and more.
